National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA)

One of the sponsors of the recent #BlogtourNYC was the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA).  The fact that a National Association is willing to be a sponsor for Modenus’ b#BlogtourNYC was quite an eyeopener to me.  They are obviously realizing that blogging has become the newest form of media and the perfect way to get their message out to the wider audience.

The NKBA is a not-for-profit trade association that owns the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS).  It has nearly 60,000 members and educates and leads the kitchen and bath industry since it was founded in 1963 (and yes, that means it is celebrating it’s 50th anniversary this year).

The key NKBA message is to –

KNOW the value of working with a trained design professional.
Why should you work with a designer? Many think it is an extravagant or unnecessary expense, but yet we have all heard of the horror stores of the homeowner who “did it on their own”.  Time and money do NOT have to be wasted when embarking on a renovation or design project, this is what a professional is for, to direct, advise and set you on the correct path.
We know the best approach to getting a design project off the ground and where and when to spend your money.  We have the education and continuing education to stay on top of what’s happening in the design industry and which products and trends can best suit your needs and wants.
