Modern cottage industrial kitchen

2017 Silver Award for Kitchens under 50 K – Decorators and Designers of Canada

This well loved vacation home’s kitchen felt dated and dark and it was ready to be updated. Some of the natural wood and stone features were kept but the space was dramatically altered by adding a soft grey/blue on the cabinetry, light grey quartz, and fresh oversized white tiles on the walls. The enlarged, one level island has become a favourite gathering spot and overhead, new lighting allows for ambient and task lighting. Together these changes have made this kitchen, the heart of the home.

Beachy classic kitchen

Classic, warm and beachy, these were the adjectives my client used when describing to me how she wanted her home’s kitchen to feel. She also wanted to have lots of storage and we achieved just that. I visited her last week and took some photos to show just how great this transformation turned out.

Traditional kitchen update

This kitchen was updated with a fresh new paint colour and some new matte brass light fixtures. That was all it took to bring it into 2017.

Contemporary white and grey kitchen

My client wanted a functional (i.e. lots of storage), clean but slightly rustic kitchen. This was an extensive renovation as you can see from the before pictures. Half of the wall between the kitchen and the family room was taken out to provide a more open space and to allow light to travel around the home.  The new cabinets offer specialized and lit storage for my client’s collections and twice the storage space of the previous kitchen. The built in counter table was specifically requested by the client for a completely customized kitchen.
