Thought I’d share a Monday update on our cottage bath renovation. It certainly moves slowly when you are doing the work yourself and only have the weekends to work on it. But we are getting to the end…..
In case you forgot here’s some before shots. What you can’t see is the rotten floor and vanity from water leakage.
Just a little dated.
Here’s my mood board for this bathroom. I changed the light fixtures from my first board, the original ones were going to stick out too far.
Anyways, here’s a few peeks at what we’ve my dear hubby has been up to.
This shows the subway shower tile, river rock floor, and the wood look tile floor.
This is the library table that is being converted into a vanity. I used Fat paint on the legs in Benjamin Moore’s Van Courtland Blue and then a light coat of antique wax, followed by clear wax to protect the finish. For the top I sanded and then just used clear wax. I have baskets that will be used for storage on the bottom shelf and hubby has just finished cutting out the top for the square sink that is to be installed. The walls have been painted in Woodlawn Blue.
Now, everything is at a standstill as we wait for the glass shower edging to come in and some strong guys to help my hubby install them.
Once that is done there is just the shower and sink fixtures to be installed, trim to be finished and accessories added. So excited to actually have this bathroom crossed off the list.
